Firework Eye Safety
Americans spend hundreds of millions of dollars annually on consumer fireworks, which cause more than 9,000 injuries a year. With the Fourth of July holiday just weeks away, Augusta Eye MD would like to remind our patients that fireworks are not toys but incendiary devices that can cause devastating eye injuries and use with caution. Have a safe and happy July Fourth!

Augusta Eye Surgery AAAHC accreditation
We are very pleased to announce Augusta Eye Surgery has received their official notice from AAAHC that once again they have passed their survey! Status as an accredited organization means Augusta Eye Surgery, LLC has met nationally recognized standards for the provision of quality health care set by AAAHC. More than 6,000 ambulatory health care organizations across the United States are accredited by AAAHC. Not all ambulatory health care organizations seek accreditation; not all that undergo the rigorous on-site survey process are granted accreditation.
“We believe our patients deserve the very best in eye care,” stated Susan Marks, Administrator of Augusta Eye Surgery, LLC. “When you see our certification of accreditation, you will know that AAACH, an independent, not-for-profit organization, has closely examined our facility and procedures. It means as an organization care enough about our patients to strive for the highest level of care possible.”
