Our Administrators


Michelle Rogers, COE

Michelle Rogers, COE, is our Practice Administrator. Michelle is originally from Denver, NC.  Michelle received an Associates of Art Degree in Psychology from Augusta State University and is currently a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant, a Certified Medical Office Manager, and an Ophthalmic Coding Specialist.  In 2007, Michelle became a Certified Ophthalmic Executive, which is the highest business credential awarded in her field.

As Administrator of the practice, Michelle acts as the liaison between the patients, physicians, and staff.  She is responsible for the day to day coordinating, supervising, and management of the entire medical facility.  Michelle and her husband live in North Augusta, SC.

Susan Ziegler Marks, Administrator

Susan Ziegler Marks is the administrator of the Augusta Eye Surgery Center. Originally from Oak Ridge, Tennessee, Susan is a certified ophthalmic assistant and a certified ophthalmic surgical assistant. As administrator, Susan is responsible for planning and directing the activities of the surgical center. Susan was a physical therapist for 20 years before changing careers and was the administrator of a physical therapy practice in Ohio. She has a degree in Chemistry from Emory University and a master’s degree in Physical Therapy from Duke University.

We have licensed dispensing opticians and an optical assistant in our Eyewear Gallery to assist with all of your glasses and contact lens needs.

Business Office Staff

Our well trained business office and ophthalmic coding specialist, simplify your scheduling and billing experience at Augusta Eye MD

Surgical Staff

Registered nurses, certified surgical technicians, and patient care representatives work closely with our surgeons to optimize procedure efficiency.

Clinical Staff

Certified ophthalmic assistants and ophthalmic assistants care for patients and ensure their comfort before and after surgery.
