Augusta Eye MD offers comprehensive diagnostic services and state-of-the-art treatment. If Dr. Marks or Dr. Staats diagnose a problem that requires surgery, they generally perform the procedure at our on-site eye surgery center.

While surgery to remove a cataract is the procedure most commonly performed there, Augusta Eye MD’s licensed and accredited surgery center is fully equipped for a number of other procedures, such as glaucoma tube surgery, YAG laser capsulotomy, laser trabeculectomy, corneal transplantation, oculoplastic surgery to correct drooping eyelids, and treatment with Botox® Cosmetic.
Chalazion removal and other minor procedures can often be performed conveniently and comfortably in-office.
Advanced Pre- & Post-Operative Suites
Our state-of-the-art operating rooms, pre-op and post-op suites are staffed by specially-trained, experienced ophthalmic nurses who assist Dr. Marks in giving you the best possible results.
Augusta Eye MD recently acquired a new state-of-the-art Nidek GYC-1000 532 nm 1.7 Watt Solid State Laser to add to our laser suite. This laser allows for a non-invasive approach to treatment for disorders affecting the front and back of the eye, such as diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration.
